Over-the-board 4NCL team competition 2021-2022
The 2021-2022 season resumed with rounds 3 and 4 on 12th and 13th February.
First up were Bradford B, who were easily dispatched: A 5-1 victory (4 wins and 2 draws).
On Sunday we faced Spirit of Atticus, who were top of the leaderboard after 3 rounds, with 3 wins out of 3. Unfortunately, they were too strong for us as well: A 4-2 loss.

On the 21st and 22nd November 2021 the Main 4NCL competition started again. The Hull & District are represented this year by the Hull and East Riding Tigers (formerly known as Euwe's North Sea Tigers).
The first match was against Manchester Mandicores 2 and ended in a draw after boards 1 and 2 went down to the wire.
On Board 1, a rook and pawn ending looked drawish on paper but ended in a loss for us.
On board 2, our player had the advantage for large parts of the game but he let his opponent escape with a draw.
The 2nd match was a convincing 5.5 - 0.5 victory over Bolton.
